3XW Spring Showdown 3
3/30/12- Results

3XW Divide & Conquer

Thanks to the packed crowd that attended the event!

3XW Commissioner Todd Countryman opened the event by announcing that due to 3XW Heavyweight champion Jeremy Wyatt expecting to be out of action a number of months with a severe leg injury (broken fibula), he was stripping Wyatt of the championship.

As a result, the 7th-annual "Gauntlet for the Gold" Rumble-style battle royal at Over the Top 3 on May 25 in Des Moines will now be for the 3XW Heavyweight championship! Traditionally this battle royal only crowns a new No. 1 contender, so this shocking announcement has added a whole new level of excitement to the match as this is the first time that championship itself is at stake.

RESULTS

Singles Match - "Dangerous" Jaysin Strife vs. Tyler Bateman

1. Jaysin Strife defeated Tyler Bateman by pinfall following a running Shining Wizard knee strike in a very hard-hitting contest. After the match, Strife took the mic and declared that he may not have received his scheduled Heavyweight title shot tonight, but in May he'll go through every other man in the Gauntlet and win the title.

INTERVIEW - Midnight Guthrie conducted an with Arik Cannon, only to be joined by SBC, and then by Perry Saturn shortly afterward. By the end of the interview, all three men clearly had dissention with one another.

Singles Match - "The Rockstar" Jimmy Rockwell vs. "The Laotian Sensation" Ricky Kwong w/Chad Mylan

2. Jimmy Rockwell beat Ricky Kwong w/ Chad Mylan by pinfall following a Rock On Bomb off the top rope. Following the match, Rockwell pointed to his wrist telling the fans "It's my time" and then did the belt across the waist motion, in reference to May's "Gauntlet for the Gold."

Singles Match - Ray Stryker vs. The Mauler w/Chad Mylan

3. The Mauler w/ Chad Mylan defeated Ray Stryker in dominating fashion with a Piledriver following a sneak attack to begin the match. Following the match, a massive newcomer came down the ramp, leading to Mauler and Mylan bailing from the ring. The newcomer helped Stryker up....only to attack Stryker to the cheers of the MMA at ringside!

After the assault, Mylan took his golden mic and explained that this was the newest member of the MMA, the 340-lbs "Turkish Terror" Mustafa! He declared that there's no one that can stop an MMA member from winning the Gauntlet and taking the title on May 25.

Making this acquisition for Mylan even wilder is the fact that Mustafa is former WWF star Mantaur!

3XW Tag Team Championship Match - American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & "The American Fury" Jon West) w/Skylar Pearce vs. American Ground & Air

4. The American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & Jon West w/ Skylar Pierce) beat American Ground & Air (Ben Sailer & Nate Bash) to win the 3XW Tag Team championship for the first time! This is Saturn's first championship win in atleast a decade.
